Staffordshire University’s partnerships team appointed us to carry out a small (but perfectly formed) six-month campaign aimed at generating case study content, enhancing communications with partnerships students and working more closely with partners to celebrate and share partner news.
What we did
Our #StaffsUniMyWay digital campaign focused on highlighting the alternative ways to graduate from Staffordshire University through its partners – from FE colleges, private training providers and overseas universities.
We interviewed and photographed more than 80 graduates who shared their stories, compiling case studies, blog content and e-newsletter copy as well as press releases, infographics and video.
We created a blog as well as facebook and twitter pages to help convey the vast range of academic partnerships – with more than 13,000 students studying a Staffordshire University qualification with partners across the UK and worldwide. As part of the campaign we created email newsletters both to the students studying at partner institutions and the curriculum and marketing staff at the university’s partner organisations.
What the impact was
During graduation week alone, the campaign reached more than 13,500 people and achieved engagement levels that were 69% above the facebook average.
More than 10,000 people engaged with the campaign via social media! We had a 75% social media engagement rate which was substantially higher than the industry standard of 6.37%.
This gave the partnerships a great platform to continue to develop their relationships with partners and to engage with students who study at partner organisations.
What the client says
“Working with Extend PR felt as if we had three new members of our own team. Their expertise in the field was invaluable, they were intelligent and insightful and this meant they supported us with genuine understanding. Their grasp of our needs was spot-on and their ability to run with the brief proposing exciting ideas with a clear delivery plan was exactly what we needed. The outcomes were hugely successful. It was a pleasure working with them and we hope to continue our relationship.”
